NAMJET
In the late 1970’s the Jacuzzi brothers were not only innovators in hot tubs and spas but developed various water jet systems for engineering applications including thrusters. In 1985, Len Hill purchased the rights to the Jacuzzi thrusters and established the company ‘North American Marine Jet’ in Benton, Arkansas. The company’s TRAKTORJET series carved itself solid foundations in market sectors where durability and high thrust are valued above all.
In 2011, the marine engineering firm from Australia – BIRDON GROUP – purchased North American Marine Jet after selecting TRAKTORJET as the primary propulsion solution for their Bridge Erection Boat (BEB) and they renamed the company NAMJet. The company was relocated in 2014 to join another subsiduary company BIRDON AMERICA in Denver, Colorado.
NAMJet is now housed in 60,000sq feet facility alongside the Birdon America production for BEB’s, and all jets are fabricated and welded in-house to the same military grade standards as the boats, AS9100D an accolade of which no other waterjet manufacturer in the world currently holds. This focus on quality has been a priority for NAMJet since it became part of the Birdon Group, as taking the product/brand from a localised manufacturer in the US to a Global OEM was the target when purchased.
Today NAMJet supplies waterjets in both standard configuration and fully customised to customers across the world.
