The US army’s highest-ranking acquisitions official couldn’t wipe the smile from her face while test-driving one of Birdon’s Bridge Erection Boats recently.
Principal Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logisitics, and Technology Ms Steffanie Easter, was invited for a personal demonstration of the BEB system while she was visiting in Warren, Michigan.
Ms Easter advises the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics & Technology) and Army Acquisition Executive. She is responsible for leading and supervising Army acquisition, procurement, research and development, and logistics endeavours within the Army acquisition enterprise.
She also oversees the development of policies, programs, and processes to streamline Army acquisition efforts.
Birdon’s US operation continues to attract the interest of US government and Army officials. In recent months, the team has also hosted US Congressman Mike Coffman and Colorado Senator Cory Gardner.
